One morning, a man put a few bags of salt (盐) on the back of his donkey (驴). He wanted to sell the salt in the market.
The man and his donkey were walking along together. They did not walk far when they reached a river. Suddenly, the donkey fell into the river. The big bags of salt also fell into the water. As the donkey swam to the bank, it found that the bags of salt on his back became lighter (更轻的).
The man had to go back home to put more bags of salt on his donkey’s back. As they reached the river again, the donkey deliberately (故意地) fell into the river. So the salt was useless again.

Ren Jilan was born in a village in 1992. Her family was very poor because of her parents’ bad health. With the help of some kind people, she finished her 12-year school study and went to Qufu Normal University at the age of 22.
